Medlow Family
The Medlow families involvement in the club, could arguably be likened to the Kennedy's dynasty in Amerca. All were involved at the beginning of the club in 1981, Graham playing and captaining the A grade, Annette and Craig starting in the first junior teams and Sue supporting all three at the club.
All have had great success with our junior grades in both playing, coaching and managing from under 13, under 14 and under 16's. However, Graham, Sue, Annette and Craig all had a hand in the great success of our under 14's, with many premierships and memorable games. One of those games would have to be the grand final where both the Woodside Blue and Red under 14 teams faced off with Annette coach of one team and Craig coach of the other.
The Medlow families impact on the club, as mentioned, does not just rest with the under 14's, but spans all areas, from initiating the club 'Have-a-go' programme, through to sewing players shirts to 3/4 sleeve, even the club logo/mascot was a Medlow initiative (narrowly edging out the Wizard). All have a mother's love for the club and will support, defend and fight for its continued success as a cricketing power throughout the Adelaide hills.
